Types of cosmetics for tanning beds and their meaning

1. Tanning Promoters (Accelerators/Intensifiers)

These creams are designed to start the process of natural pigmentation of the skin. Tie:

• Tanning usually lasts 1-2 days.

b) DHA bronzer

• Contains dihydroxyacetone (DHA)— a substance that reacts with the top layer of the skin, producing a darker tone within 4 to 8 hours.
  
  
• Tanning develops graduallyand can persist up to 5-7 days.
  
  
• Sometimes combined with natural bronzers for a faster effect.
  
  

Appropriate: for more experienced sunbathers who want a darker and more persistent result.

3. Tingle creams (warming creams)

• Contains active substances that accelerates blood circulationa “tickles” the skincausing a tingling or feeling of heat.
  
  
• The skin instantly becomes more pinkish, and the tan is formed faster and more intensively.
  
  
• Not recommended for sensitive skinor for beginners — can cause discomfort.
  
  

Appropriate: for experienced clients who want the maximum intense tan.

Conventional creams are not suitable for tanning

Do not use sunscreens (with SPF)or body lotions that are not intended for UV tanning beds — they can block radiation and damage the surface of the equipment.

Skin care is also important after sunbathing

After sunbathing, it is recommended to use special after-sun cosmetics, which help not only to preserve and prolong the tan, but also to care for the skin at a deeper level. Unlike conventional body lotions, these products provide intense hydration and nourishment throughout the day.
